Lior Moshe Avidan
Marine Research and Development
Lior (Leo) Avidan is a marine scientist and diving educator with a Master of Science in Zoology (Marine Focus, Cum Laude) from Tel Aviv University and a Bachelor of Science in Marine and Environmental Sciences (Magna Cum Laude) from Ruppin Academic Center, Israel, where his research focused on coral reef fish ecology and marine behavioural science.
He holds advanced diving instructor credentials across several agencies, with specialty ratings in marine ecology, diving technician, Technical diving, and scientific diving. Backed by fifteen years experience of professional diving and marine projects.
A co-founder of an environmental NGO in Eilat, Lior has led marine and terrestrial cleanup operations, delivered conservation education to youth groups, and served as a environmental advisor to the Israeli Nature and Parks Authority on coral reef conservation. His teaching experience extends to mentoring at-risk youth, coordinating vocational training programs, and secondary classroom instruction.
Now based in Queensland, he brings his deep expertise in marine ecosystems and his passion for community-centred environmental education to EnviroTech's programs in marine habitat conservation.
