A Unique Student Identifier (USI) is a personal reference number that stays with you for life. It allows you to keep a secure, online record of all your nationally recognised training in Australia.

At Envirotech Education, all students undertaking nationally recognised courses are required to have a USI to receive their qualifications or Statements of Attainment. This includes both new and continuing students.

With your USI, you can access your USI Transcript, which provides a complete record of your training history. This can be useful for:

• Applying for jobs

• Requesting credit transfers

• Meeting prerequisites for further study​

​

International Students

​

International students studying in Australia with Envirotech Education also need a USI. Your passport and Australian visa can be used as identification when creating your USI.

​

Higher Education Students

​

The USI system now also applies to higher education students. New students must have a USI before the census date, and by 2023 all higher education students (including those who started earlier) are required to have one. The USI replaces the former Commonwealth Higher Education Student Support Number (CHESSN).
