Course Information

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply a broad range of event-related skills, supported by a sound and practical understanding of event management processes, to plan, coordinate, and deliver event operations. Graduates are equipped to work independently, take responsibility for key operational tasks, and make informed event management decisions within established organisational frameworks.

Events covered under this qualification are diverse in scale, purpose, and setting, ranging from conferences and exhibitions to community, cultural, sporting, and tourism-focused events. As such, the qualification provides a clear pathway to employment with event or exhibition organisations across a wide range of industries, including tourism and travel, hospitality, sport, cultural, and community sectors.

It prepares individuals to contribute effectively to the successful delivery of events by managing logistics, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring operations align with event objectives and client expectations.

Students will complete their course once they have completed the total number of Units of Study required by the qualification.

What is a Census Date?

Census Day is last day on which you can withdraw from your course or part of course without having to pay tuition fees for the course or part of the course.

The census date for a course, or a part of a course, is the last day you can:

Complete the eCAF to apply for a VET Student Loan for your course, or

Withdraw your enrolment without incurring a debt for the course or part of the course.

Every part of a course (unit or subject) has its own census dates, so that you incur debts as you progress through your course, not for the whole course at the beginning.

VSL Fee per Unit of Study: $2,600

Please remember that VSL will not be approved for students who do not meet eligibility requirements, and applicants may be required to pay a portion of the tuition fees if the course loan cap is not sufficient.

VSL gives rise to a VETSL debt which continues to be a debt due to the Commonwealth until it is repaid.
